In March 2000, the 710 Freeway Coalition retained the services of Godbe Research & Analysis to conduct a telephone survey of 770 Pasadena voters concerning the 710 Freeway. When asked if they supported or opposed completing the 710 Freeway, 59% indicated support for completion. A mere 18% indicated that they were opposed to the 710 Freeway. This means that Pasadena voters expressing an opinion support completion of the 710 Freeway at over a 3 to 1 ratio.

When told that the 710 Freeway would greatly relieve traffic problems in neighborhoods of Pasadena, support for the 710 Freeway jumped to 72%.
